Palladium-Silver Painting

Pigeon is a typical peace symbol. Similar to the “peace” character, a pigeon was drawn on a ceramic tile by using silver and palladium. We need peace, as shown in the following picture, the color of silver and palladium is peaceful.

A butterfly was drawn on a stone by using silver and palladium. Owing to the strong adhesion between metals and stone, as shown in the following picture, hence a butterfly-fossil was obtained.

Palladium-Silver Calligraphy (2) – Taiwanese Souvenir

Both English and Chinese calligraphy were fabricated by using palladium and silver. As shown in the following picture, “peace” character and its corresponding Chinese character were written together on porcelain. It is a Taiwanese souvenir.

A Chinese (peace) character was fabricated by using silver-palladium on gray porcelain. As shown in the following picture, this silver-palladium calligraphy has a strong adhesion on the porcelain. It is a Taiwanese souvenir.

In order to make a permanent black Chinese calligraphy, black palladium powder was used to fabricate a Chinese “good fortune” character on a white plate. As shown in the following picture, a thick-silver sculpture was covered with black palladium powder, resulted in a black-palladium calligraphy.

Stone painting by using noble metals is a versatile art. As shown in the following picture, a written Chinese Buddha character on a stone was made of silver. The thick-silver word has a strong adhesion on the stone by a chemical-free process.

In addition to porcelain painting, stone painting was also conducted in our lab. As shown in the following pictures, three stones were coated with silver metal. The silver thickness is around 0.2 to 0.4 mm. The adhesion between silver and stone is very strong, therefore, could not separate by any knife. As a result, we can make a beautiful stone has silver surface by using a chemical-free process.
